Paying For Long Term Care
Long Term Care for the elderly and those with disabilities in the United States is becoming an increasing important and large problem as the baby boomers are retiring and we are all living longer with chronic diseases. A commission created by Congress to address the country’s surging need for long-term health care released recommendations Friday but did not reach a consensus on how to pay for these often expensive services. At the core of the problem is funding long term care. There is no clear funding source for it and most seniors and their families do not discuss it and financially prepare for it adequately.
